Screen Printing

Screen printing is the high-volume workhorse: ink pressed through a stenciled mesh, layered colour by colour. It produces vibrant flat colours at low per-piece cost when run quantities justify the setup.

Mesh count drives ink coverage: low mesh (60 to 110) for heavy plastisol on dark fabrics, high mesh (200 to 300) for fine detail and discharge inks. Plastisol is the dominant ink for opacity; water-based and discharge inks soften the hand but require careful curing.

Setup costs make screen printing best for runs of 24 or more pieces per design. Detailed editorial on per-style screen-printing suitability, ink compatibility, and setup-cost economics is in progress.
